Kimota Science College, Gboko has a rich and long tradition of educating young minds, the college has undergone many positive changes in our drive to continue to improve the quality of education for our students and to ensure that we equip you for learning and living in the 21st Century.
Moving to a new school is a very exciting experience but can also be a daunting one. There will be lots of new things to learn and to cope with, as well as many new challenges ahead. However, with challenges come opportunities, and there will be lots of wonderful opportunities for you to avail of in the years ahead.
You will be studying a wide variety of new subjects and making lots of new friends too. As a college, we have strong academic ethos, and we expect you to work hard both in school and at home. That said, we hope that your experience will be an enjoyable one and that your learning will be fun. All we ask is that you do your utmost best at all times. If you try your best and settle into a good routine of work and study from the beginning, you will feel comfortable with and confident about your learning. There will be lots of teachers to support you with all of this.
Working hard and achieving good grades is important, but our college is about so much more than that. In your time as a Kimota Science College student, you will have the opportunity to take part in a wide variety of extracurricular activities, including sports, drama, etc. as well as the various after-school clubs for different subjects. I will encourage you to get involved in as many as you can they can aid you in developing your skills and talents, as well as forging new friendships and having fun.
We are fortunate to have so many talented pupils in our college community and we want each and every one of you, our new and old students, to fully develop your talents whilst being able to enjoy the full Kimota experience.
Kimota Science College, Gboko is a very warm and welcoming college, and it is very important to us that all our students feel happy, safe, and secure. We are a listening and responding college, and I encourage you always to seek help if you have any concerns or bothers. Your Tutors, Year Heads, and Class Prefects are available and only too happy and willing to provide support and guidance to you. They all have a lot of experience in helping students, and like all families, we look out for and help each other.
